General Information
About Vesterlyng Camping
Camping Vesterlyng is run by Torben Berner and Lone Tholstrup Thygesen.
Our philosophy is quite simple: We want our guests to be able to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends—something we all need—and leave with the intention of visiting us again.
Our hope is that we can help both children and adults recharge their batteries, get a good dose of fresh air, experience one of the most beautiful corners of Denmark, and see some of the region’s pride and, last but not least, add a social dimension to their vacation or weekend trip.
In most cases, we succeed, and that’s what makes it so enjoyable for us to run a business as special as a campground.
We look forward to seeing you and welcoming you to Vesterlyng Camping!

We’ve become more eco-friendly.
We have now officially received Greenstay Denmark sustainability certification. This means that we are committed to contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
These five objectives in particular are the focus of the Greenstay certification:
- 6: Drinking water and sanitation
- 7: Sustainable Energy
- 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
- 13: Climate Action
- 15: Life on Earth
We’ve already taken some steps in the right direction, but we’re working every day to improve so that, together, we can take care of our resources and our planet.
