Visit Odsherred
Vesterlyng and Havnsø are located on the border between Kalundborg and Odsherred. On VisitOdsherred, you can find your way to all the exciting sights and attractions north of the campground.

Nekselø and Sejerø - Island Hopping
Sejerø and Nekselø are great destinations for the whole family—and the ferries depart from Havnsø. Nekselø is often called Denmark’s most beautiful island; it’s best enjoyed on foot with a packed lunch in your backpack, while Sejerø is perfect for cycling. There’s plenty of nature and things to do.

Sommerland ZealandList Item 2
Sommerland Sjælland is an amusement park in northwestern Zealand that is primarily aimed at families with children up to 13 years old.
There are 70 different attractions, including Zealand’s largest outdoor water park with 7 water slides and a number of kid-friendly pools, Racerland, Minilegeland, The Wild West, and the Amazon.

Northwest Zealand Fish Park
Visit one of Denmark’s best put-and-take lakes at Kaldred, just across from Vesterlyngen. It’s a great destination for a family fishing trip, a perfect introduction for beginners, and there are plenty of fish to catch. You can buy your fishing license at the campground reception desk at a nice discount!!

Birkegården GardensList Item 3
Birkegårdens Haver features five unique gardens: a vibrant English garden, a prairie with drought-tolerant grasses, a herb-filled monastery garden, a serene Japanese garden with two ponds, and an artist’s garden with exhibitions. In addition, the site also features a large oak forest, petting animals in pens, fun playgrounds, mini-golf, a gift shop, and a cozy café.

Dyrehøj WineryList Item 4
Visit Denmark’s largest vineyard and discover Danish wine. The vineyard covers an area of approximately 7 hectares and is planted with about 23,000 vines in Røsnæs near Kalundborg. Of these, 200 vines are table grapes, while the rest are used for winemaking.
The winery was awarded the "Winery of the Year" trophy, along with seven other trophies and four medals, at the Danish Wineries Association's annual competition for commercial winegrowers.

Kragerup Manor & Go High
Kragerup Manor has built Denmark's first adventure course, which stretches from the forest floor to the treetops.
Kragerup Go High features 75 different challenges spread across a 3.5-kilometer adventure course that winds through a diverse forest of majestic beech trees and dark spruce trees. Together with friends, family, or colleagues, you’ll get active in a new and exciting way.

Fishing Opportunities in Kalundborg & Odsherred
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned angler, there are plenty of opportunities to cast your line from the shore or a boat around Vesterlyng Camping. To the north and in Odsherred, there are plenty of great fishing spots, and if that’s not enough, head south along the Kalundborg coast.

Odsherred Zoo Rescue
We provide a safe haven in beautiful Northwest Zealand for over 600 exotic animals in need, representing 100 different species. For families and vacationers, the park is the perfect destination for a day out, where you can enjoy a wonderful day while supporting our vital rescue efforts.
Get up close to the animals during our regular feeding times and hear stories about Kloklo the capuchin monkey and the rescued foxes, for example. Enjoy a picnic in the green areas, let the kids run free in the nature playground, or take a well-deserved break at our barbecue café and ice cream stand.

The Viking Fortress of Trelleborg
Trelleborg is a Viking fortress dating back to the year 980. The fortress features an outer bailey, where 135 burial sites have been discovered. None of the other Viking Age fortresses show any traces of an outer bailey. Trelleborg contains 16 longhouses, 4 in each section of the fortress. In addition, there are traces of 15 longhouses outside the rampart.
During the season, the museum offers a wide variety of demonstrations and activities where you can try your hand at the Vikings’ many different tasks.

Gerlev Playground
Gerlev Legepark is a unique play area where you can try out more than 100 traditional games, activities, and sports from across Europe. It’s fun and exciting to play together, regardless of age or physical ability.
Come and have a good laugh while you challenge yourself in “Fox and Wolf,” “Kispus,” and much more. The play park is a unique natural area featuring a toddler playground, a nature playground, and picnic areas right next to the established play areas and grassy fields for playing.
